ARTIST STATEMENT:

As a collage artist, I’m drawn to images that have the potential to take on a powerful life of their own

both by themselves (”looking for love” and “speechless”)

or reconstructed into a completely new and unique narrative (“Devotion”).

 

I create to connect with a deeper sense of myself and in doing so have created pieces that connect to the observer on multiple levels.  By utilizing vintage children’s books, comic books, magazines, postage stamps and ephemera, I’ve collage on vintage playing cards, choosing hearts to pair with the basis of humanity-

love, compassion, and support, especially during these trying times.
