ARTIST STATEMENT:

 I was born on Halloween and raised in Cd. Acuña, Coahuila Mexico, a small town on the border to Del Rio Texas. I am a self-taught artist and have been painting since I was a small child. My work stems from the same place. Always in between countries, gender and states of lucidity.The middle. It is the place that grounds me no matter where the pendulum swings or which side I wish to linger on.

 

This art series is part of a proscenium arch that I painted for the To Be Dali play.

In a world that likes to peddle borders and confuses faith with fact. The spirit of my pieces float with fabric and flesh uncovering the gaze of what we have in common. Our nature.

Regardless of our beliefs our design is undeniable.

Just look at a river from a birds point of view. Does it not run like a vein?

Have you heard the ocean breath? We are all bound by the moon.
